Just a quick update. This fall has kicked off big for us. Lot's of great conversations and planning with my youth staff team. We're getting organized for when all of our meetings and times together will be. It's a busy time for me but also a good time to focus on the things that I do well. I'm really enjoying my staff team this year. I'm missing a few people that worked with us last year a ton but I know that God is leading all of this and they are doing what they are supposed to be doing.
As we enter into the fall I keep focusing on one thing and that's prayer. We're starting off every meeting with prayer before anything else. That may sound like a "duh!" moment but I'm not talking about a simple 30 second "Bless this meeting" kind of prayer. I'm talking about a serious chunk of time where we lift God up and bring requests. It's had an impact already in my life as I then go into the meetings feeling a lot less angst about what we are doing.
