So I'm back from a short vacation. About six months ago I planned a trip to Europe with my friend James and then we talked our friend Josh into going and were met there by our friend Brett who is working in Germany. It was the perfect opportunity for me to get away for a few days and hang out with friends that have known me for many years. We flew into London and spent a few days while James was speaking at a conference hanging out with a bunch of his friends. After that we made it down to Canterbury where I saw another friend and then took a ferry to France and a train to Paris. First night in Paris we stayed in a sketchy hotel room but at least it was near the cemetery where Jim Morrison was buried so we went and saw his grave. Toured some museums and even hiked to the 2nd level of the Eiffel tower. Got home last night and so far no jet lag.
Really fun to be with friends and a great way to celebrate finishing up grad school. I have some good friends and I was blessed to be with them.
I did learn one thing on this trip though. I snore.
