I figured that this time would come and that getting life into a routine would be refreshing. After another busy summer of youth ministry I was looking forward to school starting. Our routine is pretty simple now. Every morning at 7:50 I drive Soren and Hope (our neighbor) to Bradfield elementary which is about 1.5 miles away. It takes me longer to get out of the carpool line than it does to get there. After dropping them off I come home and Danielle leaves with Kaije at about 8:25. Danielle heads to work for three hours and I take Anneliese to preschool a couple days a week at 9:30. It may sound like a big effort to coordinate all of that but it’s really not. What I like is that it feels that we are getting in a rhythm. For me patterns bring a certain amount of freedom because I am able to know what needs to happen and when.
It’ll probably be really nice in a month when we have a kitchen again. Making breakfast before school and packing lunches is tough when you have no kitchen. Hopefully that will help.
Oh yea I should mention that it is again raining harder then I have ever seen it rain before. Texas is weird. Last summer they had 2 days of rain. This summer we had tons.
