I think this whole Texas thing is going to take some time to get used to. Right now I’m on a youth staff retreat in East Texas. We’re staying at Coon Creek Camp which is an 8,000 acre private hunting/fishing place. I’m not quite sure how big 8,000 acres is but no one here seems to think it’s all that much. We spent a good part of the day doing initiatives and working through some staff dynamics. I’m looking forward to jumping in a bit deeper into all of this.
I’m also looking forward to going back to San Diego in two days and starting the moving process with my family. I can’t believe we are moving out of our home on Thursday. Sure miss my family.
Hey Lars, know that we miss you, are praying for you and selfishly wish you were here in Seattle with us. Much love to you and your wife and three kiddos.
Tara (& Chris too!)
You’re going to have to keep talking about your adjustments to Texas, I just interviewed with a church in South East Texas that sounded very interesting. Still, very early, but since I’ve never been, I need all the info on that nation as possible…
Too clear up your confusion, 8,000 arces is 12.5 square miles or roughly the area of 6,050 football fields. Thats a lot of land!
