Texas

When God speaks it is good to listen. This last 4 months I’ve been praying that God would open up a door for us to do ministry that was in a great location for my family and was an amazing job for me. Well that door opened wide open and it is in Texas. We are moving to University Park which is right in the heart of Dallas. I’m going to be the Director of Youth Ministry at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. The Youth Ministry staff there is huge. There are 12 full-time staff between 5-12 grades. I’m getting to lead this amazing team. We’re moving into a house directly across the street from the church. It’s so close that Soren can look out of his kindergarten class and he’ll see our house. I can just walk across the street to work. We’ve been so blessed by the people there and my phone has been ringing off the hook today with congratulations from them.

It’s cool to see God’s hand at work. I mean seriously if it wasn’t God I know that I would never have ever thought that Texas was going to be a possibility for living.

Well, congratulations pardner. I am thinking you are going to look incredible in a ten gallon and flips. Let’s have a meal at Stone soon to discuss.

That’s awesome! I’m glad to hear that everything’s coming together for you. I’ll be praying for you as you start your new job. When’s your first day?
