Most of you know by now that I have been in the middle of a big life transition for the last couple of months. It’s been really fun to explore different possibilities of living and working. Danielle and I have had some great chances to get away for weekends as a couple. This month we have two trips scheduled. Tomorrow we’re heading to North Carolina (Raleigh) for a short weekend and in two weeks it’s back to Dallas. I love being able to bring Danielle on these trips because they are fun weekends to be with just her dreaming and praying about where God might be leading us. We’re lucky to have an amazing mother-in-law and some great friends who will be helping out with the kids while we’re gone.
The church we’re going to look at this weekend found out about me through a friend who used to go there. They told them about us and we did a phone interview and they asked us to fly out. We don’t know very much about it but we’re looking forward to seeing North Carolina, finding out about the church and looking at houses. On a fun note houses there cost less than 1/2 the price of here in Southern California.
Hmmm… Lars in Raleigh? Hmmm… well, I guess there is the ocean, it’s warm so you can keep wearing your ‘bows. Interesting….
Lars,
Not sure if you remember me but i met you at the coffee shop awhile back. Anyway i read your deal here every once in awhile, enjoy the commentary. And would love to talk to you about your D. Min experience sometime, it’s something i am planning on down the road.
Well i am moving to So Cal Jan 24th — very excited! Maybe we can catch a cup of coffee at It’s a grind. I’ll look forward to it.
Good luck / good graces with the ministry placement!
Be Peace
