The life of a Youth Pastor is an interesting one. We spend a lot of time with students who are growing up in a different world than we are.
Last night I was on a boat stuck in the middle of lake Mojave with 10 high school boys and it was awesome. We were stuck. As in our boat didn’t work. The oil light came on and our boat went into lockdown mode and only moved at 1 mile per hour. After 5 hours of that I was exhausted. The guys taught my son to blow a bubble. I laid down after giving them instructions to wake us up when we got to the “green light” in the distance. They did and we docked the boat and went to sleep. I wonder what those guys learned driving a houseboat in the middle of nowhere at 11pm with their youth pastor asleep. They all said that it was their favorite night of the trip. I’m just glad I was there for it.
